About

Hello!

I’m Eleanor, a second year PhD student at the University of Sheffield. My research looks at serotonin metabolism in ADHD and its dysfunction, with the goal of looking at how we can use food and nutraceuticals as alternative therapeutics. I am supervised by Professor Paul Overton in the School of Psychology in the Neuroscience and Cognition research cluster.

I also work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting students throughout the entire course of the undergraduate degree. I am passionate about education and enjoy helping students achieve their best in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. In my spare time I also work for Pint of Science, managing events for the Sheffield branch. Science communication is hugely important, and I love being involved in bridging the gap between researchers and the general public.
